Secondly, my uncle is recovering. He's being moved to a different part of the ICU because they have a critical patient coming in and need the room, and he's the least critical out of all of the patients, so that's a good thing. He's had all of the tubes removed, including the monitor for his cranium, meaning the swelling has gone down. He's slowly coming out of his drug induced state, and he seems to recognize the people around him. His speech is slurred, but they can understand what he's saying now instead of just hearing "buh buh buh buh" from him.
On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the most severe, they have ranked him a 2 and it really sounds like he's going to pull through and be okay.
